Happy New Year, blogosphere! In celebration of a) my dearest friend's arrival from NYC and b) the fact that I took a few days off, we ventured to the infamous Alcatraz Island to see what was what. Here are a few images from the boat ride there. San Francisco looked absolutely beautiful.
