Influence

There are several films that have molded my life; films that I watched dozens of times as a little girl and memorized line-for-line.  One of these films is The Sound of Music, which is responsible for most of my fashion choices and musical taste.  The other is Little Women (1949) with June Allyson (she is glorious in this film) and Elizabeth Taylor.  Don't get me wrong, I love the version with Winona Ryder and Christian Bale also, but this was the one we had and I watched it probably a hundred times growing up.  It seems silly, but I can sort of map my life choices based on the ones Jo March makes. Today, I stumbled upon this version of the movie in 13 parts on YouTube and proceeded to watch the entire thing.  Time well spent in my book.

If you like old movies and have an extra 2 hours on your hands, I recommend it.  Not only is it big fun, but it will also give you a glimpse into my soul.
